Since 1995 the Roebuck Fire District has been collecting cans to help support fire prevention education in our community. Over the last six years the program has collected 23,198 pounds of cans. This generated $ 9,708 of revenue for the purchase of Smoke Detectors, Coloring Books, Plastic Fire Hats, Stickers, and a Dalmatian Dog Suit. |

All prevention material is given away to kids and families right here in our own community. Every resident can receive one Smoke Detector per floor for free and if they need more they can purchase each additional one below cost ($5). Our detector includes the battery. |
| If you need
help installing your smoke detector just tell the firefighters at the
station and they will be glad to set up an appointment to come out to
your house. While they are there you should have them do a home safety
check and point out some potential hazards in the home. There is no
charge for this.
