Located in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Roebuck Fire District was established by the State General Assembly in 1957 as a Special Purpose District. The department was all volunteer until 1993 when the decision was made to put on three fulltime firefighters during the day. In 1997 the district hired additional personnel to man the station 24 hours a day 365 days a year. In 2008 the district hired 3 part time personnel, and in 2009 the district hired 3 more part time personnel. We currently have a staff of 13 Paid members and 21 volunteers. Roebuck Fire District has one station covering 17 square miles of suburban and rural communities.
